Inspection and Repair of Brushless Motor Output Wires

1. Fault Symptoms

Common faults with motor output wires include breakages, most often at the motor shaft head. These breaks cannot be reconnected and require the motor housing to be opened for repair.

2. Detection Method

After removing the motor end cover, use a multimeter set to the continuity (buzzer) mode to check if the motor output wires are damaged or broken. If damaged, the wires need to be replaced.

3. Repair and Replacement Method

  • Remove the Old Motor Wires: Based on the motor’s power, select the corresponding new wires. Common brushless motor wires are 350W and 500W, differing in thickness.
  • Insert New Wires: Thread the new wires through the motor shaft and connect them according to color. Solder the connections with a soldering iron and ensure proper insulation.
  • Manage Excess Length: If the wires are too long, secure them with cable ties to prevent contact with the rotor.
